A Sonic the Hedgehog 2 vinyl was pressed recently, and I was lucky enough to grab one. I ended getting number 15 out of 100. This is also my first vinyl lathe cut. I recently decided to add my video game vinyl record to my Discogs account’s collection. Turns out my entire collection has a market value of about $2,500.00! That’s not including some of the vinyl records that are still coming in the mail and ones that don’t have a market value yet. Although I’m not the one to sell my possessions off on a whim, it’s nice to know that there is some value behind my hobby. I stumbled upon a phone on the floor outside my house today. Lucky for me, it was unlocked and I got into contact with someone on the phone list. I was able to return the phone later in the day to a woman who claimed the phone belonged to her daughter. I could only hope that if I ever lose something like a phone, keys, wallet, etc. that there will be someone as caring as I am about someone else’s belongings. Here’s yet another attempt to repair an old console. This is the Panasonic 3DO. It was one of the first consoles to handle CD based software. The problem with this console is the laser is stuck in place. After pulling apart the laser assembly, I was able to find the reason why it wasn’t moving around. The gear and worm responsible for moving the lens along the rail is cracked.
